Shipping errors in life-saving medical kits are more than operational setbacks – they can delay surgeries and risk patient lives. Globus Medical, a leading manufacturer in the healthcare sector, faced growing challenges with shipment auditing and inventory reconciliation. Techolution partnered with them to deploy an AI-powered solution that streamlined the Loaner Box check-in process. By using AI-driven device detection and real-time cataloging, the company drastically reduced human error and improved the accuracy of its shipping process. This project became a defining use case for AI in medical device manufacturing and AI-driven supply chain optimization.

Globus Medical’s Loaner Box system was critical for distributing surgery kits, but it suffered from inefficiencies. The entire check-in process was recorded as a single video file per station, making it nearly impossible to quickly identify missing or damaged items. This manual process introduced risks in healthcare operations, such as delays in surgery readiness and inaccurate inventory tracking. The lack of automation was affecting productivity, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Techolution designed a multi-phase solution using AI applications in healthcare to improve inventory visibility and operational speed :
This comprehensive approach to healthcare operations and AI resulted in a system that was not only reliable but also scalable across multiple sites.
Enabled faster, more accurate shipping of surgery-critical components
Streamlined the Loaner Box inventory process with AI automation
Improved operational efficiency and reduced check-in time
Set a benchmark in AI-driven supply chain optimization for healthcare
Reduced customer complaints due to missing or damaged items
We helped a Large Convenience Store Chain reduce food wastage for grab & go sandwiches by leveraging computer vision and forecast AI. This led to a 70% reduction in food waste and a 5% increase in sales.
Our robotics AI was bored of fulfilling orders for manufacturers, performing quality control & high precision bone screws. So we trained her to be the first cobot to open a beverage refrigerator, take orders in multiple languages through a conversational AI, & serve people their drinks at events.
We helped a leading Bio-Pharma company accelerate the processing of cancer specimen lab tests & reduce cost of operations. Our AI Workstation was customized within days to automate the quality control & accelerate problem resolution in the processing unit.
