If you are not familiar with our Bootcamps, you should learn about them. They are self-paced, metrics driven, theoretical and lab-based training programs. Through Techocamp, we have helped numerous companies reskill their workforce to improve productivity, employee retention, and speed to promotion.
History of Techocamp
Where did this come from and why is it so successful? We were working with several large customers around the world. One bank in particular had an extremely difficult interview process that very few developers competed. We gained clarity on the interview topics and the talent that the bank was looking for in their engineers. In effect, we set up a training program for internal employees where we could upskill and reskill the candidates nominated to join the bank. Responses to our training programs proved to be outstanding. We were placing over 90% of the nominated candidates in the bank. At that point we knew we were on to something truly promising, helping companies and engineers prepare for the future of work.
Who is Techocamp for?
Techocamp is designed for highly self-motivated engineers who want to expand their knowledge base and leap into an advanced version of programming and computer science skills.
Who is Techocamp NOT for?
If you have no programming experience and no knowledge in computer science, it is going to be tough. I’m not saying that you can’t learn. It means you will be spending much time learning the basics. It is also not for people who expect to be spoon-fed. The program moves as fast as you want to move, but if you are not motivated and don’t put anything into the program, you don’t get anything out of it.
Techocamp Core Philosophies
Techocamp blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience. We test your skills up front before presenting you anything. Based on how you do in the assessment, we identify your skill gaps and future needs to outline learning paths. We believe that it is a waste of your time and ours to train you in something that you already know. Therefore, if you do well enough in a subject area, you can skip it. Once the assessment is complete, you will access the bootcamp content that is a combination of theory, web resources, videos, and practical modules.
Before you complete the subject, we test you to make sure that you have learned up to the expected benchmark. If the test results don’t prove so, we will not assign you to the next subject area. It would be best if you mastered a subject before you move on to the next one. After you have mastered all the skills, we assign you to a practical project that involves the skills you have acquired. When we run these with clients, we leverage a project from the client’s backlog. Such an approach has proven profitable as the client not only gets to upskill their engineers but also a project completed from their backlog. After the project, we re-test you on all the skills you learned and publish the results.
When you are participating in our Bootcamp, we don’t let you on your own. We give you the support you need to be successful. We invite you to our Bootcamp slack channel where we have experts and mentors engaging with you. If you get stuck, you can post a question to get instant assistance. The workflows, content, and processes run through our custom-made application. It helps automate some of the tasks and assessments.
